Finalised Provenance Information

The provenance finalisation event is an instant in time, when the available information from logging infrastructure of information systems is translated and managed accordingl to the CPM. The resulting finalised provenance information is considered as an immutable snapshot of the current knowledge that is available at a given time instance. The provenance finalisation event may occur at the end of a documented process, on request, or periodically. The finalised provenance information can not be modified directly, but any updates may be performed using the prescribed provenance versioning mechanism.
